From Factory to Studio | Cultural Salon
How does a jewelry idea travel from a Dutch design studio to Chinese makers and eventually into the international market?
During this first session of the Chinese Cultural Salon, two Dutch jewelry designers share their experiences of working with Chinese manufacturers, developing products across borders, and building business relationships based on design, craftsmanship and trust.
Design, craft and trust across borders: A Business Story
Behind every piece of jewelry is a story, about the people, craftsmanship and relationships involved in bringing an idea to life.
In this session, two Dutch jewelry designers will talk about their experiences working between the Netherlands and China.
From the first sketches and prototypes to working with Chinese makers and developing products for an international market, they will share what happens behind the scenes of a cross-border jewelry business.
The conversation offers an honest look at the opportunities, practical challenges and personal experiences of doing business between the Netherlands and China.
