Procedure of Individual Registration

1. Log onto the website www.chinesetest.cn

2. Sign up
Provide necessary personal information including e-mail address, nationality, native language, date of birth and other information required.

3. Test registration

First, click the button "book a test" on the main page. Then choose your type of test, test date and test center "Groningen Confucius Institute". If you cannot find our test center in the list, don't worry, that's because the registration is not open yet. Registration usually starts about two months before the test. Then complete your personal information, upload a photo and confirm your registration information.

* Please choose "Groningen Confucius Institute" as the test center when you register. For paper-based test, please choose the city Groningen.Test center is the organizer of the test, not the actual location you take test. For more details, please check the test plan.

* Photo size: 15kb~1M. Photo format: jpg, jpeg, png. Photo requirements: must be a recent photo of yourself, headshot clearly visible

4. Pay the test
After your registration, you will receive an invoice from GCI via mail. Please complete your payment before the deadline stated on our website; otherwise, we cannot confirm your registration.

5. Test registration confirmation
After completing the registration and paying the test fee, you will receive a confirmation letter 10 days before the test. If no confirmation is received, please feel free to contact us. 

6. Collect/ Print Test Admission Ticket
You can log onto the Chinese Testing Service website to print the Admission Ticket. On the test date, you must bring and present your Test Admission Ticket and identity certificate to take the test.

* Age Requirement for Registration: Applicants must be aged 12 or older at the time of registration.

First, select the test level, test format, test center, and test date. Then complete your personal information, upload a photo, and confirm your registration information.

Important Note: 

• Please select ‘Internet-based Test(at center)’for the correct test format in the middle as shown in the picture below. And please select ‘Groningen Confucius Institute (iBT)’  for the correct test center. The test center is the organizer of the test, not the actual location where you take the test.
• HSK3-6 applicants must upload a standard, 2-inch identification photo in a JPG format not larger than 100 KB according to the test requirements. 

4. Pay for the test

After your registration, you will receive an invoice from GCI via email. Please complete your payment before the deadline stated on our website; otherwise, we cannot confirm your registration.

5. Test registration confirmation

After completing the registration and paying the test fee, you will receive a confirmation letter 10 days before the test. If no confirmation is received, please feel free to contact us.
