FAQ |Mandatory Pairing of HSK 3–6 with the HSK Speaking Test

Starting in January 2025, the HSK and the HSK speaking test in the Netherlands will be combined as follows:
-Candidates who register for the HSK3 test are required to register for the HSK Speaking (Primary) together.
-Candidates who register for the HSK4 test are required to register for the HSK Speaking (Intermediate)together.
-Candidates who register for the HSK5/6 test are required to register for the HSK Speaking (Advance)together.
-The HSK Speaking test can be registered separately.

No, you cannot.

If you register for HSK 3, you must also register for the HSK Speaking (Primary).

If you register for HSK 4, you must also register for the HSK Speaking (Intermediate ).

If you register for HSK 5 or 6, you must also register for the HSK Speaking (Advanced).

Yes, you have to register for the HSK Speaking (Advanced) twice, but you will only take the speaking test once. However, we do not recommend registering for two levels on the same day unless necessary.

No, it will not. The results for the HSK and HSK Speaking tests are displayed separately. If you do not take the speaking test, the speaking score section on your report will be left blank.

Yes, you can register for the HSK Speaking test only.
